Comedy Night with Dan McGowan
Dan McGowan is a Denver-based comedian who performs clean, G-rated, observational comedy, and parody songs for audiences everywhere.
Born in Reno, Nevada, Dan grew up in an entertainment family. His parents were musical entertainers who headed up a band that performed the top hits of their day in theaters, showrooms, casinos and nightclubs all over Nevada. When Dan was five-years-old, his parents decided to make the move to Los Angeles. Thankfully, they took Dan with them. It was within this creative environment that Dan began to hone his own skills as a musician, actor, and comedian.
Since his early adult years, Dan McGowan has worked as an on-camera and voice-over actor, music composer, songwriter and clean stand-up comic with credits that include The Comedy Store and Improv in Los Angeles; Comedy Works, The Improv, Wits End, Loonees in Colorado, and various corporate and church events across the United States. His acting credits include national commercials for McDonalds, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and more. Most recently Dan was a finalist in the search for the new Maytag Repairman. Keynote Speaker Ann Lofgren of ZingTrain
Ann hails from East Lansing, Michigan and was graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Political Science. She was introduced to Zingerman's Deli in the late 1980′s and has been a loyal customer ever since. After spending a dozen years in the restaurant industry Ann looked to Zingerman's for a traditionally made, full-flavored future and began her journey in the fall of 1998 as temporary holiday help at Zingerman's Mail Order. Working at Mail Order gave her a taste of the information, opportunities and fun available at Zingerman's and when offered a permanent position in the Catering Department at the Deli, Ann happily accepted. During her tenure at Zingerman's Catering Ann was in on the ground floor of documenting customer complaints with the debut of our Code Red Form, as well as the introduction of Open Book Finance and Bottom Line Change. Her time as Sales Manager solidified her belief that there was much to do and learn (not to mention eat!) in the Zingerman's Community of Businesses.
In 2002, Ann accepted a position with Zingerman's co-founding partner Paul Saginaw as pre-opening Project Manager for two Zingerman's businesses: Zingerman's Roadhouse, our full service restaurant devoted to traditional American food and Zingerman's Coffee Company, roaster and wholesaler of estate grown and single origin coffees. Immediately before joining ZingTrain, Ann was a Managing Partner at Zingerman's Creamery, producer and wholesaler of artisan cheese and gelato.
In addition to teaching internal classes for Zingerman's staff, Ann is excited to bring her background in production, marketing and operations to ZingTrain clients.
In 1982, Ari Weinzweig and Paul Saginaw opened Zingerman's Delicatessen in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Their intention was to offer a world-class corned beef sandwich in a retail space where customers would be surrounded by exceptional food. Almost thirty years later, and still rooted in Ann Arbor, the Zingerman's Community of Businesses (ZCoB) employs over 500 people and generates annual sales of over $35 million.
One of eight Zingerman's businesses, ZingTrain shares the "Zingerman's Experience" with forward-thinking organizations from around the world. ZingTrain's managing partners, Maggie Bayless and Stas' Kazmierski, bring their experience in training and organizational change consulting to help clients understand and apply the real-life systems, tools and techniques used at Zingerman's so they can make meaningful, bottom-line-enhancing changes in their own organizations.
